Climate crisis is no future tale anymore
The world is on the verge of demise and while we still discuss whether to maintain a 1,5°-target or not, a small village in the German Rheinland-area is a synonym for the malfunction of politics and especially of politics here in Germany.

Changing something is imminent and must be done in rather no time. We all know that we must drastically change the way we live on this planet better sooner than later. In contrast to a planet burning (and already having realized this!), mankind still behaves as if there is no tomorrow.
Lützerath in Germany may be a small village that may disappear soon (thanks to German lobbyism in terms of politics!) but it’s a sign for the world. Generations to come will be shaped by the pictures in Germany these days, one’s own imaginations of a proper constitutional state and democracy are convulsed in its foundations. The role of politicians and the police here will be questioned for long spans to come.
The hope of solving the climate crisis with compromises will be flatted in Lützerath and while the world looks on Germany, the nation realizes that we aren’t better than people clearing the rainforest for profit’s sake. Many, many brave people demonstrated yesterday against this insane decision of German politics but the pictures tell their own - sad - story.
We have failed.
