Nextcloud teams up with Webex App Hub

One of Nextcloud‘s biggest pros is surely the own ecosystem which enables you to extent your private cloud with lots of useful applications. Besides, Nextcloud has always reached out for other services while pursuing its path and now literally teams up with Webex, bringing private content collaboration to Cisco‘s platform.

Just a few days ago, Nextcloud, my favorite premier Open Source and on-premises team productivity platform, announced the (quite surprising) availability of their embedded app on the Webex App Hub. The application itself allows Webex users to connect to, view and editor documents on a remote Nextcloud-instance. Teaming up with the well-known features Webex delivers, users can now find, view and edit documents collaboratively while working within the Webex-app.

This embedment was designed to help organizations collaborate productively as they work from the office, from home, or anyplace in-between - just as we got used to during the years in the pandemic and in any modern working environment. During this time, the demand for on-premises data storage and tactical hybrid work solutions from enterprises has fuelled interest in collaboration tools like Webex, Nextcloud, Microsoft Teams for messaging, video meetings and calling. Together, these developments prompted significant customer demand for a combined solution and the challenges of hybrid work simultaneously.
